The Department has 1 UGC Post-Doctoral Project, 1 UGC Major Research Project and 5 UGC Minor Research projects. Departmental projects are funded by DST-FIST; DBT, ICSSR, etc and the Department has recieved total grants of Rs. 12 lakhs. The Department regularly organizes various national academic programmes in collaboration with reputed Institutions of Higher Education in the Country, such as the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) Trivandrum, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Trivandrum.
