ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Mar Ivanios College Physical Education Department started functioning in 1951, through these years the department produced some outstanding sports person at the International and National levels. The saga starts with Mr. I. V. Moni, the first international athlete, the list includes Mr. Sanju Samson, Mr. Sejin Mathew, Ms Sreekala R, Ms. Aparna Roy, Mr. Sankar Prasad U and Ms. Mehren Riza, the current internationals.

Achievements

The Department has produced 19 Internationals, 315 National/Inter-university, and 734 State/Intercollegiate players in different disciplines during the 2014 to 2022 period.
