ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Syriac has been taught as a second language at the undergraduate level for B.A/B.Com and B.Sc students. A student who selects Syriac as a second language for the undergraduate programme learns the fundamentals of Syriac grammar and Syriac literature. Syriac literature and the rich Syriac heritage of Kerala flourished with the arrival of missionaries and traders from Middle Eastern countries.
